Where does AMC Painting provide service in Northern Colorado?
We provide service to residents in Fort Collins, North Denver, Windsor, Loveland, Berthoud and many other parts of the region. We often also travel outside of this area for projects, with consideration for the additional travel. If you are worried you are not in our service area, give us a call! Our staff will be happy to answer your questions.
Does AMC Painting serve other areas in Colorado?
Yes, AMC Painting covers all of Colorado. We also have a sister location in Colorado Springs. For other Coloradans seeking exterior house painters, Denver residents can contact our Fort Collins office to determine if we can get the job done for you and Pueblo residents can call the Colorado Springs office.
Will AMC travel to other states? What are AMC’s travel fees?
AMC Painting does not currently travel outside of Colorado. However, we do have plans to expand our quality and affordable painting services to other states in the future.

How much does it cost to get an estimate for painting my home or business?
Your no-hassle, no-pressure estimate is complimentary. We are confident that if our company is right for you that you’ll hire us for the project. We provide a thorough, detailed proposal that outlines the cost of your paint job at no charge to you.
Do I have to sign a contract the same day as my appointment?
No, there is no requirement or incentive that you sign a contract the same day. That is just one way we provide no-pressure estimates.
What if I think the proposal is incorrect?
If your proposal seems incorrect, call your estimator for clarification. They will be happy to go over all of the fees and give you the information you need.
Do I have to sign my proposal electronically?
An electronic signature is the quickest way to ensure you can secure your appointment. This is particularly important during our busy season. If you have a different preference, speak with your estimator to learn about your options for signing a physical contract.

How much do you take for a down deposit?
We don’t! We’re so confident in our process and that you’ll love the job, that we do not accept any payment until job completion. We know that everyone has experienced or heard about a home services company running away with the down deposit before the job even began. With AMC Painting, you can rest assured that this will never happen to you.
How does AMC Painting determine the cost of a project?
Your project is calculated based on the total square footage of the project, the type of paint used, the amount of paint used and the number of hours and personnel it takes to complete the job. We offer fare, reasonable rates for our high-quality workmanship, so give us a chance to show you by scheduling a complimentary estimate. Your total cost just might surprise you.
How much does it cost to paint a house?
The cost of your interior painting project can vary depending on a number of factors. We offer no-pressure, complimentary estimates so you are fully informed about the cost of your painting project. It is worth noting that most customers have expressed surprise at the affordable rates we charge for the quality of service we provide.
What happens if there is a sudden issue during the project? Will I have to pay more?
In the rare event that there is an issue during your project, your project manager will contact you to discuss next steps. We handle these issues on a case-by-case basis with the goal of customer satisfaction in mind.
Can I buy my own paint and have your crew use that on my project?
AMC Painting uses Sherwin-Williams paint to complete the majority of our projects. This allows us a measure of quality control due to our extensive experience with the brand. If you have already purchased paint for your project, we’ll be happy to use it. Using outside paint can create issues with work guarantees and potential paint warranties. Please speak with your estimator for more information.
Can I use a brand that is not listed on your website?
Speak with your estimator to discuss alternatives to Sherwin-Williams paint.
Do you charge extra to patch nail holes or make minor repairs?
No. Minor repair work, such as patching holes from picture frames, is included in our service.
Do you charge more for power washing?
No. Power washing is typically included as part of an exterior paint project.
Paint Brands, Types and Finishes
What brand of interior and exterior paint does AMC Painting recommend?
AMC Painting completes painting projects using Sherwin-Williams products. Sherwin-Williams paints come in a variety of colors, formulas and finishes. The brand also offers deck stain and other color products. Sherwin-Williams interior paints come with limited warranties, as do their exterior products.
Does AMC painting use low-VOC paint?
Yes! Your safety is our highest priority. That includes using the safest interior paints available. Low- or zero-VOC paint is better for your health and better for the environment. Contact our office for any questions about the brands and formulas used by our interior house painters.
Does AMC Painting use paint that is safe for the environment?
AMC Painting uses low-VOC or zero-VOC paints for interior and exterior painting jobs. Low-VOC paint reduces harmful emissions that are bad for the environment and bad for your family.
What paint finishes are available for my interior painting project?
AMC Painting offers finishes including flat, eggshell, satin, sem-gloss and high gloss paint. The finish you select will depend on the use of the project space.
What is the difference between interior and exterior paint?
Exterior paint is formulated to battle the tough elements that come with being in the great outdoors. It has UV resistance, as well as mold and mildew resistance. Interior paint is developed for a different set of harsh conditions – daily life. Interior paint is offered in several finishes and offers features like washability and durability.
Does exterior paint really protect my home?
Absolutely! Exterior paint protects your home by sealing the siding and trim so that moisture cannot penetrate the surface. This prevents mildew and rot. Exterior paint is developed to withstand exposure to UV radiation and prevent your home’s surfaces from cracking, drying and fading.

What color will work best for my home?
While AMC Painting can share a portfolio of the most popular home colors, selecting a shade for your home is a personal decision. Sherwin-Williams also offers several options to aid you in your color selection process, including:

- ColorSnap® Visualizer for Web, where you can upload a photo and virtually test-drive a new color swatch using augmented reality,
- order up to 10 free color swatches to be delivered to your home,
- order 8″ x 8″ peel & stick color samples for a small fee to be delivered to your home.

How soon can I get an appointment?
The sooner you call the better, especially for residential exterior projects! Look out for our Annual Early Bird Savings Event around spring every year. You’ll have a better selection of appointment times and save a little money, too.
When is the best time of year to paint my home’s exterior?
While summer is the most popular season for painting, fall and spring offer milder weather and temperatures. Colorado summers can be unpredictable as far as rain and hail go and winter temperatures can hinder the painting process as well. Fortunately, AMC Painting offers an early bird incentive for customers who schedule appointments during these premium times.
Does AMC Painting complete commercial interior and exterior painting projects during non-business hours?
AMC Painting will work with you to find the best time to schedule your interior painting project. We understand the limitations of operating a business, especially one with regular foot traffic. We work quickly and efficiently to minimize disruption to your daily operations.
How long will my painting project take?
